'Thick as Thieves' is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Larkin Poe release 'Band for all Seasons', a set of 4 EPs released and recorded through the seasons of 2010. On 'Thick as Thieves' Larkin Poe is taking a leap into soul and R&B while keeping some roots in their heritage of bluegrass and country from their former band The Lovell Sisters. All the songs this time have been co-written by Rebecca and Megan. The girls co-produced the CD with Marlon Patton, one of Atlanta's most sought after drummers, who also plays percussion on the release. Regular drummer Chad Melton plays the drums, and on this release the band has switched to Rick Lollar on guitars. Todd Parks and Will Robertson guests on bass and keyboards. This special edition of 'Thick as Thieves' has a bonus DVD with two high quality music videos and 14 live concert tracks. The concert was recorded on the girls' last european tour in a small wine cellar venue. A very intimate setting compared to the many sold-out venues the band played on this tour, either on their own or as support and band for their fan Elvis Costello. 'Live from Stongfjorden' consists of live music from the new Thick as Thieves release as well as a good selection of music from the band's former studio projects.
