Following her 2017 debut album Forever and Then Some, Lillie Mae has announced her sophomore LP Other Girls and released its lead single and opening track, “You’ve Got Other Girls for That.”
Produced by the great Dave Cobb at Nashville’s famous RCA Studio A, Other Girls sees Mae venture away from the folksy sounds featured on Forever and Then Some, which was produced by long-time Mae collaborator Jack White.
The lead single “You’ve Got Other Girls for That” sees Mae with a newfound confidence: “I ain’t your baby,” Mae claims on the track’s opening line. With the track’s accompanying video, viewers see the Nashville singer-songwriter frolicking with a mannequin, donning a blonde wig, frying eggs and giving a piercing stare that shows Mae means no nonsense.
Other Girls is out Aug. 16 via Third Man Records, which was founded by White in 2001. To support the album, Mae will be going on tour throughout the summer and fall with The Raconteurs, and Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters.
