Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer – American Noel

Somewhere around the time of ‘Drum Hat Buddha’ Dave & Tracy were commissioned to write and record a CD of Christmas tunes for a US company to give as holiday gifts for their employees and associates.

Apart from ‘American Noel’ these songs never surfaced as there was some debate as to the ownership of the recordings; this has now been resolved and ‘American Noel’ is finally available to the general public.

An eight track mini album featuring a mix Dave’s own compositions and traditional material – it’s full of excellent songs that highlight how versatile he was a songwriter and features fantastic imagery and the distinctive Carter/Grammer sound.

It’s a low-key release, but certainly one not to be missed by those who know Dave & Tracy’s work.
