Miranda & Rex perform with intensity and maturity, a diverse and colourful collection of songs, all presented with their now trademark slickness and flare. This second album from Miranda Sykes (Show of Hands) & Rex Preston entitled 'Sing A Full Song' is a significant evolution of their eponymous 2011 debut release. While not a complete departure from previous work, the duo present a more intense and colourful experience with an entirely new collection of songs, all presented with their now trademark slickness and flare. Miranda is renowned for the way she casually switches between songs from a wide range of artists, styles and genres, showcasing as she does, the full gamut of her abilities. The duo have carefully re-imagined and presented this collection & made each track their own. Rex is in the production seat this time and showcases his skill not only as a performer, but as a producer and mix engineer. He really comes to the fore on the arrangement and presentation of each track. There's a guest musician in the form of virtuoso American guitarist Grant Gordy (David Grisman Quintet). His exquisite blend of flat-picking virtuosity, jazz and classical exploration couldn't be a more perfect addition, transforming the duo into a trio for half of the album.
