Third album from Julie Fowlis, a superbly gifted Gaelic singer at the forefront of traditional Scottish music.
On ‘Uam’ (translated as ‘from me’) she lends her beautiful, crystal-clear voice to a selection of songs, old and new, from the highlands and islands of Scotland and Ireland.
Co-produced once again by Fowlis and her husband Eamonn Doorley who also provides some superb bouzouki, the album features a stellar cast of guests including Eddi Reader, Ewan Vernal, Jerry Douglas, Phil Cunningham and Sharon Shannon alongside her regular band of Duncan Chisholm, Tony Byrne and Martin O’Neill.
