Released Sept 1998 just before Fish Records was in the planning stages; this is one of the handful of albums that were instrumental in the decision to start the business. Sadly it was never reviewed in our early catalogues, but it sounds as good today as it did in 1998.
It’s an excellent and accessible album, lyrically superb and full of strong, memorable songs. Many of the songs are introspective and focused on the dissolution of his marriage, making this an intimate and emotionally intense album - one of the best introductions to contemporary American folk singer/songwriters you could wish to find. Essential.
