'Sunday Shoes' is an album with real atmosphere and in-between the spare arrangements Nels creates a brooding, dark, and at times meanacing atmosphere that gives these songs a sense of location and a definite identity.
Fiercely intelligent lyrics, emotive vocals and intelligent, sparse arrangements make this one of the finest country/folk discs around. Very highly recommended.
