On this album Mary takes a wide range of contemporary tracks from a variety of writers and interprets them in her own style (much like the Cry Cry Cry album - the two albums even share the title track). There is a more traditional, rootsier and folkier feel to this disc than Mary's most recent albums, reflecting a change in producers and a return to recording in Ireland. Like Cry Cry Cry there is a mixture of well known tracks and some unknown gems, wherever Mary takes the songs from she makes them her own - the interpretations are utterly convincing. Highlights include Ron Sexsmith's 'Speaking with the Angel', Bartley & Gorka's 'Cut By Wire', Finn's 'Fall at Your Feet', and the only traditional song on the album 'I Live Not Where I Love'.
