This second full length disc from Rebecca brings together a collection of creative and accessible folk/pop/country songs that are thoughtfully written, beautifully arranged and produced with a light touch that allows her individuality to come through.  Even though she shares many traits with artists such as Dar Williams, she is a distinct artist expressing herself through this album as it moves from classic acoustic ballads, to animated observations, and through to more clear social commentary.

The constant throughout the 12 songs are her strong vocals that are wide-eyed, bright and direct, and her clear acoustic guitar work – these form the base of most of the songs, but there are some inspired arrangements across the album as acoustic ballads segue into tongue-in-cheek twang (‘Redneck Karaoke Bar’) and the gentle New Orleans feel of ‘Her in that Dress’.

The whole album demonstrates a confidence that belies her youthful appearance; there are wry and thoughtful life observations littered across the album that give even the most seemingly lightweight of songs an impact for those who listen beyond the effortless and instantly comfortable melodies.
