Debut EP from 24 year old, Liverpool based Lizzie Nunnery. Hugely impressive lyrics and delicate acoustic backing make this a strong disc, but it's her voice that really stands out.
Throughout the 5 tracks her voice is versatile, strong and flexible in both range and delivery styles – comparisons to Kate Bush are easy to make, but at times influences from other singer/songwriters such as Ani DiFranco are evident.
These are mature and fully rounded songs based around Lizzie’s guitar work, and the whole production and feel of the disc is much more than you’d expect from a debut release. She’s certainly a real talent, and one to watch for the future……
