Megson's excellent debut album 'On the Side' remains one of the best self produced and released discs we carry, and since the release of that album they've picked up universally strong reviews from press and fellow musicians, and have steadily gone about increasing their reputation and putting together their new album.
In anticipation of the forthcoming disc, the've put together a limited run 5 track EP, of which 4 songs are previously unreleased.
Both Debbie and Stu provide vocals and instrumentation, and the sound ranges from acoustic simplicity through to more complex arrangements; the material on the EP includes both self-penned and traditional songs.
Megson are one of the most promising contemporary folk acts in the UK, both Debbie and Stu are excellent musicians and singers, and their material is accessible and has wide appeal - expect them to be much more prominent in 2007 on the release of their new album.
