This album just missed the last mailer but we couldn't let it miss this one - it's an album of duets where John is joined by some of the best female country artists around. He teams up with Iris DeMent, Patty Loveless, Trisha Yearwood, Delores Keane, Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris amongst others. The individual songs consist of a mixture of covers and John's own track, and are all linked by the theme of fidelity (or lack of). The duets all work well and there's a real feeling of chemistry between the singers, adding extra bite to the often already bitter songs. The title track (with DeMent) is excellent - a song guaranteed to bring a smile to your face
