Excellent album from that continues Kate's sensitive and insightful observations of people, characters and places. The album has a loose theme around of 'the blues' that manifests itself in musical form over a couple of tracks, but is more prominent in the lyrics which are challenging pieces that address some serious themes.
Musically simple with guitar predominantly to the fore, it's Kate's vocals that really impress as they’re sincere, heartfelt and the perfect vehicle for these wonderfully written songs.
