Heavily played on Bob Harris' BBC Radio 2 show, this disc highlights the American based singer's ability to write songs with intelligent lyrics and excellent melodies. The disc is full of fantastic songs, the title track being a superb example of narrative songwriting. He is a singer/songwriter with a slight country edge, fans of Slaid Cleaves will find much to enjoy here, as he treads a similar country/folk path.
