Jackie Oates - Saturnine

New studio album from Jackie Oates, one of the leading lights of the current contemporary English folk scene. A full time member of The Imagined Village, and one eighth of the Cecil Sharp Project, Jackie has worked with the major talents in modern folk music over the past couple of years, making this solo album one of the most anticipated discs of 2011.

Jackie's voice has always been a beautiful instrument, but here it's at it's very best and there are some sublime moments where the vocals, instruments and atmosphere all come together into an effortlessly beautiful whole.

Musicians include Jim Moray, Karen Tweed, Barney Morse-Brown, Miranda Sykes and a whole host of others who provide varied instrumentation, percussion and vocals to create an interesting soundscape that give 'Saturnine' its distinct and unique atmosphere.
