Welcome to the Sept/Oct issue, this time it's almost exclusively female artists that are featured - it's a real mixture of new and established artists with the two Kates (Campbell & Jacobs) leading the way with brilliant albums.  Following on from the response to Heather Eatman's album last issue, we feature her first release 'Mascara Falls', back these up with
a new album from Mary Black and the other releases and we have a great line up. 


Kate Campbell - Rosaryville

This album, Kate’s fourth release takes you on a journey through Pan-American culture, stopping off to highlight the stories of individuals along the way. Her lyrics are so full of feelings, sharp observations and empathy.... full review

This, Kate's third album is akin to a collection of short stories, the tracks are inspired from family records, diaries and photos that she found on her parents farmhouse. There is a strong family theme running.... full review

Heather Eatman - Mascara Falls

Mascara Falls was released in 1995 and is as good a debut album as you’re likely to hear, there isn’t a filler on the whole album and every track stands up to extensive repeated listening. Musically, it’s a mixture.... full review

Nic Jones - Penguin Eggs

Originally released in 1980, this album has aged well - the passing years have not diminished the quality of Nic's guitar playing or his interpretations of the songs. His readings of the traditional tracks are exceptional.... full review
