Fish Records Mailer - Issue 35 (June/July 2005)

This mailer contains an excellent group of new albums from a broad range of artists– we have a strong collection of American singer/songwriter albums from Ellis Paul, Jonatha Brooke and John Prine, alongside new releases that have a distinctly English feel from Martin Simpson and Martha Tilston. This collection of albums continues the strong set of releases that have made up the first 6 months of 2005 and the tentative list for the remainder of the year looks equally interesting. Hope you find something amongst this strong list of albums to help you through the coming summer!

Ellis Paul - American Jukebox Fables

Caroline Herring - Twilight

This is Caroline’s debut album from late 2001; it’s an album we should have carried at the time, but a lost box of discs in a house move meant the album was never reviewed and never carried by Fish Records. We set the record.... full review

Martha Tilston - Bimbling

This is Martha's debut solo album - it's a quiet, intimate and personal collection of 13 songs (plus a number of 'hidden' tracks).
