Fish Records Mailer - Issue 32 (Xmas 2004)

2004 turned out to be an excellent year with a strong range of discs from both established artists and emerging talent – this catalogue celebrates the best of the year and features some stunning albums.
The lead album from Adrienne Young is a wonderful new release and an excellent debut album – she’s certainly a name to look for in the future.
Thank you for all your support over the past 12 months, it’s always appreciated.

Adrienne Young - Plow to the End of the Row

If first impressions count then Adrienne Young’s debut album certainly starts off well – from the exquisite packaging and booklet complete with a packet of wildflower seeds, everything about ‘Plow to the End of the Row’ shows that this.... full review

Kate Jacobs – You Call That Dark

It’s six years since Kate’s last album, the stunningly good ‘Hydrangea’ (see the Fish Records Essentials list), and in the intervening years she’s married and had children as well as putting together the 13 songs here.... full review

Mindy Smith – One Moment More

‘One Moment More’ is Mindy Smith’s debut album, but the quality and craft of the writing and musicianship on the disc is far removed from most debuts. She has a beautifully pure and rich voice which covers a broad musical range.... full review
