Fish Records Mailer Issue 26 (Oct /Nov 2003) The summer months may have been a quiet time for new releases, but September has more than made up for it with at least 6 significant releases, and some of the best albums of the year. Our lead album, Josh Ritter’s ‘Hello Starling’ is a tremendous piece of work; intelligent, musical, easy to enjoy and with broad appeal – it looks certain to reach a wider audience over the coming months. The new Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman is also excellent, as are the discs from Kate Rusby, John Gorka, Kris Delmhorst and the debut album from Canadian singer/songwriter Linda McLean. These discs cover the full range of styles we carry, and it should be easy for anyone to find a great disc in whatever style they choose. Enjoy! |
